On January 7th we will be having a fundraiser at Washington St Skatepark along with tons of rad stuff like a Best Mashing contest presented by Gullwing Trucks, Art Exhibit, Live Tunes, Raffling tons of product and BBQ. What more could you want? Come MASH!!!

If you 're familiar with Washington Street Skate Park, then you may be familiar with Glenn Wagner. If not, no big deal, he doesn't mind. His contributions to WSVT have spanned more than a ten year period. Glenn's wife Christina, who is a wonderful mother to their three kids, is unfortunately going through chemotherapy for cancer at this time. Christina is a strong person, so we know she will heal from this. Due to a new issue with the insurance, getting even the bare minimum of treatment is now a problem. We would like to help Christina get the treatments she needs. We will be having a benefit show on Saturday, Oct. 22, 2011 at the TIL-TWO CLUB 4746 El Cajon Blvd. 92115 There will be bands and 100% of the cover will go to their family. A little more about the situation:
Christina's cancer diagnosis recently progressed to stage 3B, and began chemotherapy as a result. During her second cycle of treatment, a change was made with their insurance which resulted in an outrageous share of cost, (almost half of their total income.) Christina was not able to complete her second cycle of treatment, not having the finances to pay for this huge increase in monthly cost for insurance.
Christina's oncologist is also in the process of figuring out the next appropriate treatment plan, as the chemo treatments given so far have not helped.
In addition to having to come up with this unreasonable cost of monthly insurance, Christina and her family were already struggling to keep up with the cost of vitamins, supplements, and medications necessary to help overcome the cancer. Christina is also under the care of a licensed MD who practices holistically, and is experienced in treating patients with cancer. All nutritional and holistic treatments are crucial in conjunction with traditional medical treatments, in order to give Christina the best possible chance at surviving the cancer and being around for her 3 kids. The love she has for Micah, Delilah, and Eli is incredible and beyond words. Leaving them without a mama is not an option.
We all know Christina has the strength to survive this, and will. But she needs our help and support to get there. We all need a little help at times...
